As an O7 FFL Holder, we also understand the challenges of NFA and receiver engravings. That is why we now offer Firearm OEM Engraving Solutions as well.


We can assist you with all of your frame and receiver markings for large and small orders that include frames, receivers, Polymer (P80), Sig, Glock, and most small OEM manufacturers.

MEDICAL DEVICES

WE are certified engravers and we can laser etch/mark your Surgical instruments, trays, devices, equipment, and anything else for tracing and accountability purposes.


We will create a custom mark and/or QR code that is facility specific. This mark will not hurt the passivation layer thus preventing rust as long as your item is medical grade stainless steel or aluminum.


This service can be done in our office or on-site for control purposes and we the capacity to complete a project of any size.


If your facility has new items that need to be marked or old ones that need to be refreshed IDX Design and Engraving can handle this for you. Our staff is trained in Hospital/CS/OR procedures and will maintain the sterility assurance you require of all vendors.


We are more than happy to signup for any vendor credentialing and will follow any and all COVID-19 Protocols.

TUMBLERS

We stock 20oz and 30oz for your drinking pleasure. Tal, IDX|LIFE, Built, and RTIC are brands we stock and carry in store but if you bring us one we will test to see if we can mark it.


Typically any tumbler that doesn't have a plastic coating or clear coat over it should be no problem. Powder coat, anodized, painted, cerakote (or an equivalent) is always preferred.

HANDGUNS:

FRAMES | SLIDES | HOLSTERS

Frame and slide personalization and customization is close to our heart. We dedicate many hours weekly molding and shaping our design background so that you can reimagine your firearm and take the factory gun you love to the next level.


For most frames we can laser stipple and in some cases hand stipple, remove the finger grooves, add an undercut, and memory cut to complete the transformation.


For slides, we can engrave the entire slide or just add one graphic. The choice is yours.

MAGA-ZINES

The bread and butter of the 2A community...the MAGA-Zine. Yes we spelled it that way. #magagang.


These 30round beauties will literally allow you to send any message down range or to the district we all don't like. We have even created a swamp for prison set for you to show your true colors to the 2A world abroad.


While we do stock several designs, however, most of our mags are custom made to order with any graphic you chose. Single or double sided IDX D&E has 95 different graphic choices or you can bring you own graphic for that true custom middle digit salute.


We use PMAGS/AMEND 2 (IDX home grown)/HEX mags and we are working on ETS as well.


PMAGS and AMEND 2 are available in .208-933-4299BLK or .308 calibers only but if you have other calibers or style, and we can engrave in it, we can slap a design on it for you for just $10 for one side or $18 for double sided (same design. If you want two different designs....lets talk about it)

CUSTOM 1911 & GRIPS

The 1911 is a timeless classic that changed the world of firearms and the 2A community for ever. It is single handedly becoming the most sought after pistol on the market and if you find a rare one it is a sight to behold for the gun enthusiast.


This firearm is also one of the most beautiful when its engraved and IDX Design and Engraving is here to help you achieve that.


We have masterfully created 8 scroll patterns and custom engraved over 40 Government model 1911', 25 Kimbers, 11 Rock River arms, 19 Smiths and Wesson's, and 8 Wilson Combats, all with full cover deep engravings. We love doing and watching them come to life.


Be warned though, this service is the fentanyl of the gun world.

LONG GUNS

Rifles and Shotguns are a true joy to customize. 


We can do surface markings and deep engravings.  Note: any firearm that is blued, case hardened, nickled, or otherwise coated (minus cerakote) will have to be evaluated before an marking process can begin. Once we have the item and confirm its coating we will let you know what the possibilities are for you specific firearm. This process could take 3-5 business days depending on the information we are able to obtain. Unfortunately, if we are unable to determine the coating we may not be able to engrave it.


Currently, all gold plating will be sent out for application but we can back fill with black (in-house) to make the metal truly stand out.

THE ENGRAVING PROCESS

The Process is the foundation for the pricing of each project. This includes the design phase and concludes with the actual engraving or marking. The process steps are as follows: (This applies to all projects either ordered online or in-store)


  • Customer Request
  • IDX Recommendations / Engravability determination
  • Price quoted
  • Customer accepts or declines the quote
  • Design
  • Artwork creation
  • Artwork conversion
  • Material evaluation
  • Artwork laid out for the work piece
  • Testing on various substrates
  • Final Marking


This isn't meant to be exhaustive as there are other factors that go into the process time.

PRICING

Pricing is the trickiest part our industry and we get many questions about it. The foundation above is how all pricing is formulated. We usually give you the price upfront to protect you and it builds in a guarantee for each customer.


Generally speaking, the laser engraving costs are $1.25 per minute or $75 per hour laser hour with a 20 minute minimum for all projects.

Artwork is billed at $55 per hour but the minimum artwork fee is $30 for anything under 60 minutes. Yes, even if its 59 minutes and 59 seconds. (We have had someone ask that before.)
